HI ALL with the year running out ,        It would be interesting to see who can have the last sighting of a snake or lizard  after October up to Dec this year.as many years ago I found a grass snake in a comatose almost frozen solid state state in thick hoar frost in late afternoon around the end of November in the good old days before all this global warming & we really did have cold winters.Keith

Conditions are still good at the moment - saw all 6 on Purbeck on Saturday, so hopefully the conditions won't change for a while.

P.S. Tony, are you coming over Hants or Dorset way?

A few years ago was visiting Wicken Fen, Cambridgeshire the third week in November on a nice clear, but frosty, morning and found a dead baby grassie in one of the rides. OK not a thriving specimen but it looked fresh so must have been on the move then.
